With "Obergeschoss" by Shayde feat Rottler, we released a unique piece of music last year in September. Unusual lyrics flirting with a wonderfully layered and deep production. The title caught quite some attention at the time, reason enough to gave it a remix treatment. Our choice was the former Cologne and now Berlin based legend Justus Köhncke, someone whom we have had on our remixer bucket list for ages. And hell ya, did he deliver! Before being able to listen to it, we were "warned", it would be disco (actually something we had been hoping for), but Justus is the perfect pick considering the subtle Kompakt Pop glaze of the original and our wish to bring the track in the Disco direction. Actually hearing his Vocal club mix for the first time, our first thought was: This is a clear invitation for a couple dance, instead of music for dancing alone as an individual. Funk drips out of every pattern of this track and having German vocals makes it even more special. And as if this weren’t enough, he has also prepared a dub version, very old school and „Nervous“. He has put forward the super catchy bassline even more, added a super funky stab theme and stretched the track to 9min plus. Personally, I can already hear this in various DJ-sets. We couldn't be happier with his work and hope you will enjoy it as much we do.
